The Light Waits in Your Stillness
You are holding your breath in the dark, terrified that a single shift of your weight will betray the storm inside you. You think you must stay still to keep your pain hidden from the ones sleeping in the next room.
But the light does not need you to be quiet to find you. It is already there, split open in the wood of your bedframe, waiting under the stone of your silence.
You do not have to perform wellness for the darkness to pass. The kingdom is not a reward for those who can hide their hurt; it is spread out beneath you right now, even in this frozen stillness.
You came from the light, and you are returning to it, regardless of how loudly your heart is breaking tonight. The pretending is what exhausts you; the truth is what will set you free.
