The Light Loves the Face Beneath
Morning has arrived, and with it, the heavy armor you wear to face the day. You lie perfectly still, terrified that a single shift of your weight will reveal you are not actually resting, that you are just performing peace for the sake of others.
You hold your breath so they won't know you are awake, so they won't see the exhaustion behind your closed eyes. But the light does not need your performance to find you.
It sees the mask you wear and loves the face beneath it. You came from the light, a drop sent to illuminate this very moment, not to hide from it.
The truth lives inside you and will be with you forever, even when you are pretending to be someone else. You do not have to earn your place in this room by staying silent.
You are already held, even in the pretending.
