Resting When the Mask Falls
The house is quiet now, and the mask you wore all day is heavy in your hands. You are terrified that if you stop performing, the people who love you will see the emptiness inside and walk away.
But the light does not love you for what you produce. It loves you because you are its own.
You came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord. You do not have to earn your origin.
There is a truth living inside you that no amount of work can build and no amount of failure can destroy. The silence of this night is not a verdict on your worth; it is an invitation to rest in the one who sees you without the armor.
You are not empty. You are full of a light that was there before you did a single thing to deserve it.
