The Light Finds You Crying
You are lying so still, holding your breath so the rhythm beside you won't break, thinking your silence is a shield. But the darkness you are trying to hide in is already full of light.
Jesus wept in the open, not because he needed an audience, but because grief is the language of the living. You do not have to perform sleep to be held.
The Father sees the tears you are swallowing, and he is not disappointed by the salt. He is closer to your wet face than the pillow beneath your head.
The light does not ask you to stop crying; it only asks you to stop hiding from the one who is already watching. Your stillness cannot conceal what love has already found.
