You Are The Source Not The Bandage
The sun is up now. The night you spent holding them together is over, and the morning light is exposing a fear you haven't named: that if they ever truly heal, they won't need you anymore.
That your purpose is tied to their pain. That love is only real when it is required by emergency.
But look at the light filling the room. It does not vanish when the storm passes.
It does not pack up and leave when the bleeding stops. The light shines simply because it is light — not because the darkness demands it.
You are not a bandage. You are a source.
And sources do not become obsolete when the wound closes; they become the ground on which the healed person walks. If they get better, they will not leave you.
They will finally be able to see you clearly for the first time.
