Light Does Not Ask Permission
The sun is up, and you are already counting the times you've said sorry just for taking up space. You apologize for your voice in the meeting, for your needs at the table, for the shadow your body casts on the floor.
You think if you make yourself small enough, you won't be a burden. But look at the light coming through the window.
It does not ask permission to fill the room. It does not wait for an invitation to touch the wall.
It simply arrives, because arriving is what light does. You were sent into this morning not as a problem to be managed, but as a drop from the light meant to illuminate the world below.
The dawn did not hesitate before breaking. It did not apologize for displacing the dark.
It just broke. And you are allowed to do the same.
