The Light Shines in the Empty Room
The house is quiet now, but it feels loud with the absence of the voices that should be there. You are washing the single plate, scrubbing away the evidence of a meal no one shared with you.
The silence in the kitchen is heavy, pressing against your chest as you put away the leftovers that will sit in the dark until tomorrow. It is easy to feel invisible when the table is empty, as if your presence goes unnoticed by the world.
But the light does not require an audience to be real. It shines just as brightly in the empty room as it does in the crowded hall.
You are not unseen just because the chairs are empty. The Father sees the single plate.
He sees the quiet hands. He sees the loneliness that tries to hide behind the routine.
You do not need a crowd to be known. You are fully seen in this solitude.
The light is not waiting for the party to start; it is already here, sitting with you in the quiet.
