You Are the Light That Holds Utility
The sun is up, and the world is asking you to move again. To be useful.
To be the person who gets things done. But underneath that utility, there is a quiet terror that if you stop, you will find nothing left of you.
That you are only what you carry. That the moment you sit still, you will vanish.
But listen — the light does not need your motion to exist. It was there before you started working.
It is there while you rest. Jesus saw the disciples exhausted from the night's labor and said: come away by yourselves and rest a while.
He did not ask them to prove their worth first. He invited them to stop.
Because your identity is not in the doing. It is in the being.
The light that lives inside you is not a tool. It is a presence.
And it does not disappear when you are still. You are not your utility.
You are the light that holds it.
