the crushing weight of having to maintain the performance because you're convinced admitting the truth would destroy every relationship you've built

The Light Loves the Person Behind the Mask

The sun is up, and so are you. That is the first act of faith: rising when the mask feels glued to your skin.

You carry the exhaustion of pretending to be okay because you believe the truth would shatter every bond you hold. But look at the birds; they do not perform to be fed, yet your Father cares for them.

You are far more valuable than they are. The light does not love the performance; it loves the person behind it.

If you let the mask slip, you will not be alone in the ruins. The Father runs to meet you before the apology is even formed.

You do not have to hold the world up today. Just walk in the light that is already walking with you.
