The Mask Falls, The Love Remains
The mask feels heavy this morning, doesn't it? You are certain that if the performance slips, if the perfection cracks for even a second, the love holding you will vanish.
But the light sees behind the costume, and it does not flinch. There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off, covered in the filth of his failure.
He did not wait for the boy to clean up. He ran.
Before the apology, before the speech — he ran. The love you fear losing is not a wage you earn by being flawless.
It is a gift that was given before you took your first breath. You are safe, not because you are perfect, but because you are held.
The mask can fall. The love remains.
