The Dawn Does Not Need Your Mask
The sun is up, and the question came: "How was your day?" You opened your mouth to answer, but the words felt like ash. Because the person who lived those eight hours wasn't you.
It was a mask you wore so well that even you almost believed it existed. The performance is over now.
The house is quiet, and the silence is loud with the truth of how tired you are. But listen — the light does not need the mask to find you.
It never confused the performance with the person. It saw the real you underneath the act, even when you forgot they were there.
The dawn is not asking you to explain yourself. It is simply arriving, warm and unhurried, to remind you that you are already known.
You do not have to rebuild the character today. You just have to wake up.
