Light Sitting With You In The Gap
The sun is just now touching the glass, turning the gray of night into something softer, something that can be borne. You made it through the darkest hour, even though your heart stumbled in that crowded room when you turned to share a joke and found only empty air.
That hollow space where their laugh should have been is real, and it hurts more in the quiet of this new morning than it did in the noise. But the light that is rising right now does not ask you to fill that space with pretend laughter or forced smiles.
It simply sits with you in the gap. The Father's love is expressed as light—the same light that lived in Jesus—and that light is already inside the empty spot, waiting for you to stop looking for what is gone and start seeing what remains.
You are that light, even when you are grieving. The day is new, not because the loss is healed, but because the light has returned to walk beside you in it.
