exhaustion — giving everything and feeling empty

The Light Is the Floor Beneath You

The sun has gone down, and with it, the energy you borrowed to make it through the day. You feel hollowed out—like a cup poured until there is nothing left but the dregs.

You gave everything you had to the hours, to the people, to the performance of being okay. But listen.

The light does not ask for what you have already spent. It is not waiting for you to refill yourself before it returns.

There is a rest that is not earned by finishing your list, but given because you are here. The Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom—not as a reward for your labor, but as a gift while you sit in the quiet.

You do not have to hold it together anymore. The light is not a demand on your remaining strength; it is the floor beneath you when your legs give out.

Put the armor down. The day is done, and you are still held.
