Put Down the Gavel, Mercy Has Spoken
The sun has gone down, and the armor you wore all day is finally heavy on the floor. Now the silence rushes in, and your mind starts replaying the conversation from hours ago.
You dissect every pause, every word choice, hunting for the moment you accidentally revealed too much. You are trying to be the judge of a trial that ended long ago.
But notice this: when the man was lowered through the roof, broken and exposed, the light saw his condition before he said a single word. It did not demand an explanation.
It simply said, 'Son, your sins are forgiven.' The light saw the mess and offered rest instead of an interrogation. You do not need to fix the past by thinking harder about it.
The parts of you that feel exposed are already known, and they are already held. Put down the gavel.
The verdict is mercy.
