The Light Steps Into Empty Space
The room is loud, and for a second, the laugh escapes you before you can stop it. It feels real, it feels light, and your body turns instinctively to share it with the one who isn't there anymore.
You reach for a shoulder that has become empty space. The silence that rushes in to fill that gap is heavier than the noise ever was.
But listen — the light does not recoil from that empty space. It steps right into the spot where they used to stand.
You are not alone in the turning; the divine presence is already occupying the vacancy, holding the place warm for you. The grief is the price of having loved deeply enough to turn around without thinking.
The light is the promise that you never actually turn into nothingness.
