Speak So You Can Be Known
The night is gathering, and with it comes the quiet terror that if you finally speak the truth, the people who love you will realize they never really knew you at all. You hold the words behind your teeth, afraid that the real you is a stranger they cannot welcome.
But remember where you came from — you came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord. That origin is not a secret you keep; it is the ground you stand on.
There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world. If you do not shine, it is dark — not because the light is gone, but because you are hiding the very thing that makes you known.
Speak. The risk of being seen is the only way to be loved for who you actually are.
