The Light Loves the Face Behind
The mask feels heavy this morning, doesn't it? You walked into the room wearing the edited version of yourself, and they smiled at the performance, not the person underneath.
It creates a hollow ache when you realize they are loving a character you built to keep them safe from your raw truth. But listen — the light does not love the mask.
The light loves the face behind it. There is a love that does not need the costume.
You were not made to be a curated image for others to consume. You were made to be known, fully and messily, by the one who saw you before you ever learned to hide.
Stop performing for people who only love the shadow. The real you — the unedited, trembling, honest you — is the only part worth loving.
