He Runs Before You Apologize
The house is quiet now, and the fear has grown teeth. You are terrified that if you finally let someone help, they will see the cracks and run.
So you hold the mask in place, even when your arms are shaking. But there is a Father who has been watching the road since you left.
He did not wait for you to clean up. He saw you while you were still a long way off, covered in the mess you thought would make him turn away.
And he ran. He ran before you could finish your apology.
The light does not inspect you for flaws before it embraces you. It runs to meet you exactly where you are.
The very thing you are hiding is the thing the light is rushing toward. You do not have to be whole to be held.
