The Light Loves the Face Beneath
The mask feels heavy this morning, doesn't it? You are terrified that if you stop performing, if you let the perfection slip even for a second, everyone will walk away.
But the light does not love the costume you wear; it loves the face beneath it. Jesus said, 'I am the light of the world' — and that light shines whether you are working or resting, whether you are flawless or falling apart.
You do not have to earn your place at the table by being perfect. The Father has already prepared a place for you, exactly as you are.
The performance is the prison; the truth is the key. You are not loved for what you do, but for who you are.
