The Light That Needs No Glass
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels heavy enough to crush you. You reach for the bottle not because you are thirsty, but because you need the noise of the pour to drown out the stillness.
You are trying to fill a space that wine cannot touch. But there is light within you — a light that came from the place where light generates itself — and it does not need the glass to shine.
You came from that brightness before the silence ever had a chance to settle. The darkness has not overcome it, and it will not overcome this night.
You are not empty; you are full of a presence that needs no liquid to be felt.
