Held Because You Are Known
The house is quiet now, and the silence feels like an accusation. You are terrified that if you stop moving, if you stop achieving for even one day, the mask will slip and everyone will see the fraud beneath.
They will leave. But in this hour, the light speaks a different truth.
There is a shepherd who knows his sheep, and he calls them by name. He does not know you by your output.
He does not love you for your resume. He knows you.
And because he knows you, he holds you. No one can snatch you from that hand.
Not your exhaustion. Not your perceived failure.
Not even your own fear. You are held not because you are useful, but because you are known.
The performance was never the point. The resting is.
