Opening Your Hand to the Light
The house is quiet, but your hand is heavy. You are holding a glass that isn't there.
A phantom weight. The shape of a loss you cannot put down, even though your fingers are empty.
This is the deepest hour. The air feels thick with what is missing.
But listen. The darkness has not overcome it.
The light is still here, shining in the very place where you feel the ache. You do not need to carry the empty space.
The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. The weight you feel is not your identity.
It is just a memory of a burden you no longer have to hold. You can open your hand.
The light remains.
