You Don't Have to Fix Yourself Here
The engine is off, but the weight is still here, heavy in your chest while you sit in the dark of the driveway. You scrub your face, rehearsing a neutral expression so the people inside won't see the cracks.
But the light does not need you to be clean before you walk through the door. It does not require a mask.
There is a truth living inside you that will be with you forever, untouched by the tears or the performance. You do not have to fix yourself in this car.
The grace is already entirely with you, protecting you even in your exhaustion. You are allowed to walk in as you are — tired, tear-stained, and real.
