Light Shining Through Your Cracks
The afternoon light is unforgiving. It exposes every chip in the paint, every tremor in the hand you are trying to keep steady.
You have spent hours polishing the surface, terrified that if anyone sees the crack, they will see the whole structure is compromised. But the light does not shine to reveal your flaws so they can be mocked.
It shines because nothing can remain hidden forever. What is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open.
The mask you wear is heavy, and the energy it takes to hold it up is draining the very life you are trying to protect. You do not have to be the unbreakable one.
The light is already shining through the places you thought were weaknesses. The cracks are not where you are failing.
They are where the light is getting out.
