the silence of rehearsing a cheerful voice before walking through the door so they don't feel like a burden

The Light Waits For Your Arrival

You stand outside the door, rehearsing a voice that isn't yours yet. Practicing the smile.

Polishing the 'I'm fine' until it sounds convincing enough to slip past the threshold without becoming a burden. The mask feels heavy before you even put it on.

But listen — the light does not need your performance. It is already inside the room, waiting not for your act, but for your arrival.

Thomas said the kingdom is spread out upon the earth, and you do not see it because you are looking for a spectacle instead of the quiet truth sitting right in front of you. What you are hiding is exactly what needs to be brought forth, for the thing you bury will destroy you, but the thing you reveal will save you.

You are not too much for this space. You are the very reason the light is here.
