The Light Waits With You In Silence
You sit in the parked car and rehearse the tone of a simple 'hello' until your hands shake. The mask feels heavy today, a performance you are not sure you can pull off for another hour.
But notice the light that sees through the windshield—it does not ask you to take the mask off before you go inside. It simply waits with you in the silence.
Go home to your own people and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you. The mercy is not for the version of you that has it all together.
It is for the one sitting in the driver's seat, terrified of being found out. You do not have to convince the room that you are fine.
You only have to walk through the door as you are.
