The Light Sees Your Unscripted Self
You stand outside the door, rehearsing the casual laugh, the easy greeting, the perfect tone. You are terrified that if you stop scripting, the real you will slip out and ruin everything.
So you put on the mask. You walk in wearing it.
And everyone else is wearing one too. A room full of people performing okayness while breaking inside.
But the light does not need your performance. It sees behind the mask.
It saw you rehearsing in the hallway. And it loves the unscripted self you are so afraid to show.
You do not have to hold the mask up. The light is already holding you.
