The Mask Is Heavy, The Light Is Waiting
You saw the smile flicker and fail, just for a second, before they put it back on to shield you from the hurt you caused. They are wearing their pain like armor so you do not have to carry the weight of it.
But the light does not need your protection; it needs your honesty. There is light within a person of light, and it lights up the whole world—but if it does not shine, it is dark.
The wound between you is not healed by the performance of being fine. It is healed when you stop hiding the truth from each other.
The mask is heavy, and the light is waiting for you to take it off.
