You Do Not Need to Be Invisible
You lie perfectly still, afraid that a shift of your weight will shatter the silence holding you both together. The breath you are trying to hide is the very thing that proves you are alive.
In the deep watch of this night, the light does not ask you to freeze. It knows the tremor in your bones.
It has seen the cost of holding yourself so rigid, so afraid to be human next to the one you love. You do not need to earn your place in this bed by becoming invisible.
The peace that waits for you is not a fragile truce you must maintain with your own stillness. It is a presence that holds you even when you move.
Let the sigh out. Let the weight settle.
The love beside you is stronger than your fear of breaking it.
