the paralysis of believing you are too broken to be loved until you have fixed yourself

Loved Before You Are Fixed

You have spent the morning building walls, pretending the cracks do not exist, terrified that if anyone sees the broken pieces, the love you have is waiting for will vanish. You are waiting to be fixed before you are allowed to be held, but that is the trap the light does not fall into.

There was a woman who came to a well at the wrong hour, broken by her history, and was not asked to clean herself first but offered living water instead. Her worth was not in her perfection, but in her thirst.

And there is a voice that says you are already a child of God, not because of what you have achieved, but because the love that made you cannot be broken by what you have done. You do not have to fix yourself to be loved; you only have to let the light see you as you are.

The Father's light was already inside you before the shame, and it is still there beneath the mask.
