The Debt That Was Never Real
You asked. You finally let the words leave your mouth, and now the silence that follows is heavier than the pain was.
Someone said yes. They are coming.
And instead of relief, you feel the crushing weight of a debt you cannot repay. You are paralyzed by the sheer cost of their kindness.
But listen — the light does not keep a ledger. When Jesus saw the paralyzed man lowered through the roof, he did not hand him an invoice.
He saw their faith and simply said, 'Son, your sins are forgiven.' The help was not a loan. It was a gift.
In the deep night, when your heart condemns you for being a burden, remember this: the One who sees everything is greater than your guilt. The debt you feel is an illusion of the darkness.
The kindness you received is the only reality. You do not have to earn the dawn.
It is already breaking.
