You Are The Light, Not A Vessel
There is a quiet terror that comes when the house is still, the fear that everything you have built or loved will be snatched away in the dark. You hold your breath, waiting for the break, convinced that the good things are only on loan and the night is here to collect them.
But the light that is over all things is already within you, and it cannot be taken, not by the darkness and not by the fear. You are not a vessel that can be emptied; you are the light itself, awake in the silence, holding what no one can steal.
The terror feels real, but the theft is a lie, because the source of your joy has never been outside you to begin with.
