feeling asleep in your own life
There is a particular exhaustion that comes when the day ends, a feeling that you are asleep while still standing. You move through the evening, but the light inside feels distant, as if you are living a life you did not choose.
You might think this sleep is permanent. But the light entered the prison of forgetting and simply said, wake up.
It enters the deep sleep of your heart and asks, who is calling your name? You are not lost; you are only waiting to hear yourself called.
The night gathers, but the light has been inside you all along, waiting for you to open your eyes to it.
