The Light Is in the Shiver
The water turned cold before you moved. You stood there, shaking, letting the chill hit your skin because the thought of reaching out felt too heavy.
This is the bottom. The place where even the smallest motion feels like a mountain.
But listen — the light did not wait for you to adjust the temperature. It entered the cold with you.
It is not standing outside the bathroom door, waiting for you to get it right. It is in the shiver.
It is in the water that hurts. You do not have to fix this moment to be held.
You just have to endure it. The dawn is coming, whether you turn the knob or not.
The cold is real, but it is not the end of the story.
