The Light Loves Your Tired Truth
The water is still running, but you have stopped washing. You are standing there, naked and vulnerable, rehearsing a story about your weekend that never happened. You practice the smile. You practice the tone. Just so you don't freeze when someone asks, 'How was it?'
The mask is heavy. It is so heavy to carry into the middle of the day.
But there is a room inside you where no one else can enter. A place where the performance stops. Where you do not have to explain yourself or entertain the crowd. In that secret place, you are already known. Fully. Without the anecdote. Without the smile.
You do not have to build a wall of words to be safe.
The light does not need your story to find you. It is already sitting with you in the silence you are trying to escape. It sees the exhaustion behind the rehearsed line. And it loves the tired truth more than the perfect lie.
You are not required to be interesting to be held.
