The Light Does Not Flinch At Your Mess
The water is scalding. The skin is raw.
You are scrubbing as if the pain you carry is a stain you can remove by force. But the light does not flinch at the mess.
It stood at a well in the noon heat and asked a woman, broken by shame, for a drink. It did not tell her to clean up first.
It told her that the water she needed was already springing up inside her. You are not the source of the pain.
You are the vessel holding the light that survives it. The water cannot wash away what was never yours to carry.
The light is not afraid of your darkness.
