The Sun Rises Without Your Permission
The sun is up. The night is over.
And yet, when someone offers you warmth this morning, your first instinct is to flinch. You tell yourself they are just being polite, or that they haven't seen the real mess inside you yet.
You wait for them to realize their mistake. But look at the light filling the room.
It does not shine on you because you earned it. It shines because the sun has risen.
The light does not check your worthiness before it touches your face. It simply arrives.
When someone is kind to you, they are not making an error. They are seeing what you refuse to see: that you are already held.
The panic says you must perform to keep the door open. The truth says the door is already open, and you are welcome to walk through.
Stop waiting for them to leave. Stay in the light.
