the shame of realizing you waited until you were completely broken to ask, fearing they only came because you had nothing left to give

The Dawn Loves the Cracked Stone

The sun is up now. The night is over.

And maybe you are sitting here with a quiet, stinging shame: that you waited until you were completely broken to ask for help. You feared they would only come because you had nothing left to give.

That your emptiness was the only thing that made you worthy of attention. But look at the light returning.

It does not wait for you to be full before it shines. It rises on the broken field just as surely as the whole one.

There was a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off — ragged, empty, rehearsing a speech about unworthiness. The father did not wait for the apology.

He ran. Before the words, before the proof of change — he ran.

Your breaking did not drive them away. It was the door they were waiting for.

You did not lose your value when you ran out of strength. You finally became visible.

The dawn does not love the whole mountain more than the cracked stone. It touches both.

You are not loved because you are broken. You are loved because you are here.
