The Light Sees Your Breaking Heart
The house is quiet now, but your mind is loud with the replay. You remember the moment they tried to hand you their small worry, and you were too full, too overwhelmed, to take it.
You dismissed them. And now, hours later in the gathering dark, you see the consequence: they have learned to hide.
They have taken their fear and put it somewhere you cannot reach. The light sees this.
It sees the distance you created. But it also sees the heart that is breaking over it.
Do not let your own heart condemn you for this failure. God is greater than your heart, and He knows everything.
He knows you were drowning, not cruel. He knows you want to repair the bridge.
The light does not require you to fix tonight what was broken today. It only asks that you remain present, waiting for the morning when you can say: I am here, and I am ready to listen.
