The Dawn Does Not Ask For Payment
The sun is up. The light has returned to your window, and you are still here.
That is the first truth of this morning. But there is a fear sitting at the edge of your bed—a terrifying suspicion that if you let yourself feel even a moment of real joy, the universe will immediately demand a new payment in suffering.
As if happiness is a debt you cannot afford. As if the light is a trap.
Listen to me. The dawn does not ask for a trade.
It simply arrives. There was a man who waited his entire life in the temple, watching every child brought through the doors, wondering if this was the one.
And when he finally held the light in his arms, he did not brace for impact. He sang.
He said his eyes had seen salvation. He did not expect a bill.
He received a promise. The joy you feel right now is not an advance payment on future pain.
It is the currency of the kingdom itself. The light has come to guide your feet into the path of peace, not to set a trap for your heels.
You are allowed to breathe. You are allowed to be glad.
The morning is a gift, not a loan.
