The Light Loves Your Weeping
The sun is up, the house is moving, and you are holding your breath so the person beside you won't hear you break. You have become an expert at the stillness of suffering—lying rigid while the tears soak the pillow, terrified that a single sob will shatter the peace of the morning.
You wear the mask of 'fine' because you think your grief is a burden they cannot carry. But the light sees through the performance.
It sees the tremor in your chest that you are fighting to suppress. There is a truth that lives in us, quiet and steady, that knows you do not have to earn your place in this bed by hiding your pain.
The light does not love the version of you that stays silent; it loves the one who is weeping. You are not alone in this room.
The presence you fear will disrupt is already holding you, even in your silence. The mask is heavy, but you were never meant to wear it for the one who knows your name.
