Love Runs Forward To Your Brokenness
The sun is up now. The night that hid your cracks is gone, and in this honest light, you are terrified they will see the broken pieces and stay only because they pity you.
You fear their love has turned into a duty, a heavy coat they wear out of guilt rather than warmth. But look at how the morning arrives.
It does not hesitate because the earth is scarred. It does not withhold its gold because the ground is uneven.
The light pours out regardless. There was a woman who had bled for twelve years, untouchable and ruined, who reached out in a crowd just to touch the edge of a cloak.
She expected to be rebuked for her contamination. Instead, he stopped the whole procession to call her 'Daughter.' He did not stay out of pity.
He stayed because her brokenness was the very thing that drew his power out. Pity keeps a distance.
Love runs forward. The light that is rising right now does not scan you for flaws before it decides to warm you.
It shines because it is light, and you are the thing it was made to illuminate. Their staying is not a burden they carry.
It is the only place they want to be.
