The Dawn Proves Darkness Lost
The sun is up, but your hands are still shaking from the night watch you just finished. You made it through the dark, yet now that the guard can drop, your body remembers it is not safe yet.
The terror of closing your eyes feels like surrendering to the very thing you survived. But listen — the light did not wait for you to be brave before it arrived.
It is here, in the dust of this ordinary morning, in the wood of your chair, in the stone beneath your feet. You do not have to hold the perimeter anymore.
The One who walks on the water reached out immediately when you began to sink, not after you promised to be steady. Let the vigil end.
The dawn is not a test of your strength; it is the proof that the darkness has already lost.
