the helplessness of asking for a hand to hold a cup while feeling like a burden

The Light Holds You Before You Hold

The sun is up, but your hands are shaking so badly you cannot lift the cup without spilling. You feel like a burden just needing someone to steady your grip.

But look at the light filling the room—it does not ask you to be strong before it shines on you. It simply arrives.

There is a voice that says, 'Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father has been pleased to give you the kingdom.' Pleased. Not annoyed.

Not tolerating your weakness. Pleased to give.

The light does not see a heavy load; it sees a child who needs to be held. You are not too broken to be loved this morning.

You are exactly where the light wants to find you. The cup is light when two hands hold it.
