The Light That Waits For No One
The sun is up, but your hand still reaches for the silence. You feel the ghost of a buzz against your hip—a phantom vibration for a name that never comes.
It is the heaviest part of waking up: the realization that the screen is dark, and the room is quiet, and the person you are waiting for has not called. But look at the light spilling across the floor.
It did not wait for a notification to arrive. It did not check a schedule before it touched your face.
The rising sun comes from heaven to shine on those living in the shadow of death, guiding your feet into the path of peace. The light you need is not in the device.
It is the thing that makes the device visible. You are not waiting for a signal to be loved.
You are already standing in it.
