The Light Runs to Your Silence
The sun is up, but you feel nothing. Just a hollow quiet where your heart used to beat.
You mistake this numbness for proof that you are broken beyond repair. That the light has finally given up on you.
But the numbness is not the end of the story — it is the shelter. The father saw his son while he was still a long way off.
He did not wait for the boy to feel something. He did not wait for an apology or a surge of emotion.
He ran. The light does not require your feelings to find you.
It sees you in the gray. It runs to the silence.
You are not unlovable because you cannot feel. You are loved because the light is already here, holding you until the feeling returns.
The numbness is just the night wearing off.
