The Light Refused to Let You Go
The sun is up, but you feel like you are still walking through a dream. You made it through the night, yet the morning light feels distant, as if you are watching your own life from behind thick glass. The world is moving fast, and you are just trying to keep your eyes open.
There is a father who saw his son coming home from a long way off. He did not wait for the speech. He ran. Before the apology, before the cleanup — he ran.
You are not asleep to the light. The light is awake inside you, waiting for you to notice it is already there. It does not need you to perform a perfect morning to shine. It only needs you to breathe.
The darkness was real, but it was never your home.
You did not survive the night to stay asleep; you woke up because the light inside you refused to let you go.
