You Do Not Have to Ignite Yourself
The sun is up, but you are still carrying the weight of the night in your bones. It feels like too much effort to remember how to feel anything at all—like your heart is a room where the lights haven't been switched on yet.
But notice the sky outside. The dawn did not wait for you to be ready.
It did not ask for your permission to break the dark. It simply arrived, tender and inevitable, because that is what light does.
You do not have to manufacture the warmth you are missing. The rising sun comes to you from heaven by the tender mercy of our God, shining specifically on those who sit in the shadow of death.
You are not required to ignite yourself. You are only required to sit still and let the morning find you where you are.
The light is already touching your face, whether you can feel it yet or not.
