The Light Knows Your Name
The sun is up, but the person who taught you to see it is fading into a silence you cannot bridge. You watch them drift away, one memory at a time, until the face you love feels like a stranger's.
It feels like losing them twice — once to the disease, and once to the morning that brings no recognition. But the light does not depend on their ability to remember you.
It depends on the Father who remembers both of you perfectly. Even when their mind lets go, the love that formed you remains held in a place dementia cannot reach.
You are still known. You are still loved.
The dawn breaks not because they recall your name, but because the Light knows it.
