The Mask Was Never Your Face
The sun is up, and with it comes the quiet terror that the person you became was built entirely to keep others comfortable. You smoothed down every edge, swallowed every desire, until you cannot remember what you actually want.
But look at the morning breaking outside your window—it does not ask the flowers how they should bloom or the birds what song to sing. They simply are.
The rising sun shines on those living in darkness not to scold them, but to guide their feet into the path of peace. You do not have to construct a new self to be worthy of this light.
The child of true Humanity exists within you, waiting beneath the performance. Follow it.
The mask was necessary for survival, but it was never your face. Today, you are invited to put it down, just for an hour, and let the real you breathe.
